About Us
History and Philosophy
Serendipity Pre-Kindergarten is a proudly parent-run, non-profit preschool dedicated to both our students and our community. We have been in the business for over 50 years.

Our program is based on ‘learning through play’ concept. Children learn through a process of sensory experiences: they hear, feel, see, smell and taste. Our creative play philosophy is based on the premise that the more our emotions are involved, the more sensory information we receive, the more easily learning takes place. That is why play is important and why we want to promote the principle of learning by doing, learning through play, and the right of a child to enjoy childhood.
Our facility is fully licensed through Alberta Government and follows their regulations and standards.

Early Intervention Partnerships

Serendipity Pre-Kindergarten is an inclusive preschool program. We believe that every child has the right to attend preschool. In the preschool years, learning challenges can start to present themselves, challenges may include difficulty pronouncing certain speech sounds, behavioural challenges, anxiety etc.
We partner with two amazing agencies, Kids Developmental Services (KDS) and MaxECS Services, both provide support to children in our program. Every child can participate in their assessments and find out if they require any additional supports. Assessments begin the journey of understanding what areas are to be worked on and parents participate in helping the individual needs of their child. Families need to give consent prior to assessments. This is a FREE service offered by Alberta Education.
